The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on the involvement of Milwaukee Academy of Science students in the local SMART team program.

CBM Staff exhibited at the ASBMB booth at the Science and Engineering Festival on the National Mall in October, 2010. C&EN included a photo of the ASBMB booth (and CBM models!) in their report on the festival. See the report.

SMART Teams Present at ASBMB Meeting

SMART team with modelEleven SMART Teams from across the nation attended the annual meeting of the American Society of Biochemists and Molecular Biologists in New Orleans in April. They presented their modeling projects in the Undergraduate Research Poster Session on Saturday, April 18. After the poster session and the opening plenary session, SMART Teams enjoyed a pizza party. Dr. Greg Petsko, president of ASBMB, and Dr. Joel Sussman, SMART teams at poster one of the creators of the proteopedia.org website, were guest speakers at the pizza party. Students learned how serendipity impacted the careers of these prestigious researchers. The evening concluded with a zinc finger toober folding content.SMART teams enjoying dinner together
